According to researcher, Amy Howell of Rutgers University, drinking cranberry juice beverages or eating cranberries regularly can lower the odds of getting a urinary tract infection in women who get recurrent infections. "Drinking one to two glasses of cranberry juice cocktail a day is really all you need," says Howell.Cranberry juice is a good source of calcium--it strengthens teeth and bones and helps prevent osteoporosis. It is also effective in reducing harmful bacteria in the mouth and preventing plaque formation.
